McDONALD'S restaurant in The Chimes Shopping Centre, Uxbridge, owned by franchisee Cliff Webb, has undergone a digital transformation, creating 20 jobs.
It includes a new ‘click and collect’ service where customers can use a mobile app to order when and where they want without having to queue.
When they arrive, they scan a code at the check-in point , receive an order number, pay via the app using a credit or debit card and collect when ready.

Cliff Webb, who owns and operates 12 restaurants and employs 1,000 staff across West London, Bucks and Oxfordshire, said: “Being in such a busy area, we anticipate ‘click and collect’ being very popular, particularly when people are in a hurry.”
Digitalisation has also made table service possible.
