Bollywood fans got an insider’s view on the industry from journalist and author Puneet Bhandal at Uxbridge College.
The event marked the launch of this year’s Six Book Challenge at the college.
Puneet, of Hillingdon, is the former Entertainments Editor for the Asian newspaper Eastern Eye and is now the author of a series of novels based around the Bollywood industry.
She spoke to students about her experiences on the sets of Bollywood movies where she met the stars and learned all about the industry.
She also showed some movie clips, talked about the process of writing and publishing her books, and gave a brief Bollywood dance class.
Robert Curry, Information & Learning Resource Manager at Uxbridge College, said: “We were very pleased to have the excellent local author Puneet Bhandal visit us to start this year’s Six Book Challenge.
“Puneet’s Bollywood series is very popular with our students, and a great easy read for students to start the challenge.”
Two groups of around 100 students at each of the Learning Resource Centres at Uxbridge and Hayes campuses came along to the sessions.
