HUNDREDS of campaigners sat down at Heathrow airport last night in the latest protest against airport expansion.
The sit-down protest, organised by the eco-activist group Climate Rush, saw protesters dressed in Edwardian costumes and drinking tea and champagne.
The group claimed the idea was to emulate the Suffragette movement and make their point in a civilised fashion.
The evening protest at terminal one came just days before a decision is expected by the Government on a third runway at Heathrow.

Nothing like the suffragete movement really. Just people sitting down in fancy dress.
