MP feels 'betrayed by his government'

JOHN Randall, MP for Uxbridge has spoken out over todays events in the House of Commons.

He was speaking after Labour MP for Hayes, John McDonnell, was removed from the House of Commons during a statement on Heathrow by transport secretary Geoff Hoon.

Mr McDonnell left his seat and grabbed the mace, putting it down on an empty bench and shouting: "It's a disgrace to the democracy of this country."

Mr Randall told the Hillingdon Times: "I can fully understand why he resorted to such desperate action, because of the frustration over the way the secretary of state was taking questions."

He added: "John McDonnell feels utterly betrayed by his Government."

Well done John, you could not have done more than you have over many years on this project. I am glad that you removed the Mace from its location meaning Parliament was temporarily out of session. I hope your suspension does not lead to any further action.....and where were all your supporters both in the Labour Party and especially the opposition who apparently (unless it was just spin) are against the project and will cancel it if elected.

Enjoy your 5 days away from London and use at least a couple of the days to have rest.

In other country's they have riots in parliament when a decision is hyper controversial, here in the UK a politician removes a bauble and places it quiet politely on an empty bench. You wonder why the electorate gets walked all over and our voice isn`t heard, we are too polite.
But within the restrictions of our good behavior, well done John you made the news.
Sad thing is, it is the Tories that have promised to remove the decision if they get elected so the poor bloke will be out of a job at the next election.

I would like to thank John McDonnell for all the hard work he does for his constituency.
His action's yesterday in Parliament were unbelievably brave and showed immense courage of which Hayes and Harlington people should be proud of.
May I also thank him for all the hard work he does for Cherry Lane Cemetery.

I and my family would like to thank MP John McDonald for his passion and forthrightfulness while serving his constituants in parliment on Thursday last and throughout this campaing. I would also like to know since when did the British people just decide to sit down and become the doormat of gordon brown and his cronies.
This man was not voted in by the British voters and therefore should not be recognised as priminister, As soon as Tony Blair stood down the election should have taken place.
I was a life long labour supporter until Democracy died last Thursday. Bring the election lets see how you stand.
