  • "I and my family would like to thank MP John McDonald for his passion and forthrightfulness while serving his constituants in parliment on Thursday last and throughout this campaing. I would also like to know since when did the British people just decide to sit down and become the doormat of gordon brown and his cronies.
This man was not voted in by the British voters and therefore should not be recognised as priminister, As soon as Tony Blair stood down the election should have taken place.
I was a life long labour supporter until Democracy died last Thursday. Bring the election lets see how you stand."

MP feels 'betrayed by his government'

First published in News

JOHN Randall, MP for Uxbridge has spoken out over todays events in the House of Commons.

He was speaking after Labour MP for Hayes, John McDonnell, was removed from the House of Commons during a statement on Heathrow by transport secretary Geoff Hoon.

Mr McDonnell left his seat and grabbed the mace, putting it down on an empty bench and shouting: "It's a disgrace to the democracy of this country."

Mr Randall told the Hillingdon Times: "I can fully understand why he resorted to such desperate action, because of the frustration over the way the secretary of state was taking questions."

He added: "John McDonnell feels utterly betrayed by his Government."
