ORGANISERS of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life are calling on people in Hillingdon to put their time off this bank holiday to good use by picking a date and event to help beat cancer.
This year, for the first time, Cancer Research UK is inviting everyone – women, men and children – to join the Race for Life.
There are two Race for Life events, 5K as well as 10K, from which to choose.
They take place at Hillingdon House Farm sports ground, Uxbridge on Saturday, July 13.

Brenda Scott, Hillingdon event manager, said: “Our Race for Life events are fun, colourful, emotional and uplifting.
“You don’t have to train, and you certainly don’t need to compete against anyone else.”
“We’re urging mums, dads, nans, grandpas, brothers, sisters, friends and workmates to show their support by joining the Race for Life.”
